TPK sees slight on-month increase in August; expects orders to surge in September, October

Touch panel maker TPK has reported that its August 2013 consolidated revenues reached over NT$9.44 billion (US$317.55 million), up 0.6% on month but down 27.3% on year.

TPK also reported that its total consolidated revenues from January-August 2013 reached NT$106.54 billion, up 6.34% on year.

Sources at TPK meanwhile revealed the company has a strong outlook for September and October due to orders from Apple, Amazon and Microsoft.

Additionally, TPK is looking to produce more low-priced OGS solutions for use in notebooks in order to provide vendors a more competitive edge in the market, according to recent comments from company president Tom Sun.
