Dell is looking to strengthen its Partner Direct platform in 2014, hoping to boost its distribution partners’ competitiveness through professional training, better resource distribution and complete product solutions, executives from Dell Taiwan said at a recent company conference with distributors in Taiwan.

During the conference, Dell also signed new channel distribution contracts with Global Intelligence Network and Datasitter.

The Partner Direct platform currently separates Dell’s distributors into three major groups: Registered, Preferred and Premier and has also recently added a certification system for security, system management, data protection and data management software.

Dell currently has over 165,000 distribution partners worldwide and 17,000 in Asia Pacific including Japan.
